The reverse apex roof includes a dormer window and is fitted with a weatherproof felt cover to keep out the rain. Three diamond-shaped finials round off an exceptionally attractive appearance.The door and windows are made using traditional, skilled joinery. The former is fitted with a diamond-shaped window, roller catch and daisy-design ring handle, so provides safe and easy access to the interior. It comes with a full-length safety hinge too, although antique-style dummy hinges are fitted for decorative purposes.The upstairs bedroom is reached by a wooden, internal ladder. This first-floor area is enclosed with a balustrade to keep playtime safe.The 5 framed windows are split over both levels and allow an abundance of natural light to flood into the playhouse. Four of them are fixed, the other is an opener. All of the glazing is made from shatterproof styrene, which is far tougher and safer than conventional glass.
